Our aims are threefold: cultural education about Africa’s role in world history; using culture for local regeneration, especially improving opportunities for young people; and helping to reduce poverty in poor countries overseas.
We have an exhibition ‘A Taste of Africa’ that showcases African history and culture; organise African art and music workshops for young people, school children, etc; have a Touring Exhibition outreach that we take to prisons and schools; and interact with other local ethnic organisations in order to promote cultural and racial harmony. |
We work to target marginalized communities especially youths from BME backgrounds by using arts and heritage in order to encourage them out of anti-social behaviour, and instead offer them an alternative which will enable them to improve their lives as well as their communities.
Our sister organisation, the Christ Evangelical Ministry, shares the love of Christ through provision of services to the homeless as well as helping the poor in Africa. |
